North - South Media Bridges
North - South Media Bridge, intercultural and medial education for youth in Europe and West-Africa. This project will aim primarily at setting up a citizen media work model for Youths in Ghana and Nigeria based on the experience from Germany and Poland. They will be trained in intercultural topics and in the use of technical equipments (Computer/Internet, Camera, Cutting, Film-making), as tools for news gathering and broadcasting, capacity building, sustainable democracy and rural development, motivation for skill acquisition and concrete future perspectives for the young people. Competence in intercultural education and understanding as well as inter-religious dialogue are among our focus. The Project will aim at building a network of young people among the partner countries and institutions and will seek a long term and sustainable exchange of experiences and contacts. Seminars, workshops and continuous evaluation will be part of the package. The youths will be trained in Germany, Poland, Ghana, Nigeria within the time of the project. Young people will contemplate on the issues of democracy, promoting intercultural dialogue and tolerance in our societies and exchange of opinions between different nations in Europe and West-Africa.
