Does Europe have a voice?
The aim of our project ‘The Voice of Europe’ is to encourage and qualify citizens to use new media and community media tools for better promotion of their interests and points of view. The principal aim of the project is
to establish debate in local communities in Europe on today’s important issues and communicate them to wide European public and policy makers.
The proposed project will focus on citizens who have few possibilities to take active part in the digital communication technologies of the knowledge society. They will acquire skills in the field of new media and ICT, in particular the creative use of digital audio-visual media and the Internet. They will acquire knowledge about methodologies for using media in political education and in expressing people’s opinion.
Moreover the project will give participants (multipliers) the competences necessary for establishing debates and dialogue on the European social and economic issues between citizens of different European countries. The project will promote media, political education concerning current social and economical topics (employment, well-being, sustainable development, energy saving, climate change) as well as community media tools as means of communication.
Developed media skills and acquired political and social competences during the project activities will enable participants (multipliers) to produce films, web-TV magazines and broadcasts of citizen’s debates on European topics. Those debates will be disseminated on-line (europeanweb.tv) and promoted among the policy makers.
