Youth web-TV reporters in Europe
The training course in Timisoara has started today. Filmmakers and students from Turkey, Poland, United Kingdom, Germany and Romania will attend video journalism and cross-media course. From the 1st till the 8th of July they will learn how to be a web-TV reporter and how to make video reports. Some of them will deepen their knowlegde in filming and will learn how to use multimedia techniques for promoting social and intercultural topics.
The aim of the training course in Timisoara is to encourage and qualify young people to use digital media for raising European awareness and fostering mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue in Europe.
The principal aim of the project is to lead youth workers in through non-formal learning process in the sphere of media and gradually qualify young people from youth reporters to youth media trainers.
Youth reporters from five European countries will be involved in creating media reports for web-TV magazines about the youth initiatives, democracy projects, intercultural events in their home countries as well as highlighting acute issues of the European society: European integration, social and economic stability, peace, tolerance and fight against racism.
They will get video journalism training and on-line journalism training.
Moreover youth reporters will contribute to promoting best examples of youth and social work through one of the most progressive modern media – web-TV.
Having experienced the reporter’s work, youth leaders can engage in sharing the knowledge and skills with their peers in local and national organizations. The trainings for both youth reporters and youth media trainers will be carried out in the framework of the initiative.
