‘Spotlight on Europe’ in Istanbul

Spotlight on EuropeOnce again the training course “Film academy: Spotlight on Europe” will take place in Istanbul during 7th - 15th May 2010. This seminar will present possibilities of adopting new media for political education and intercultural learning. 24 young people from Turkey,  United Kingdom, Poland, Germany and Romania will acquire media and journalistic skills. Bürgermedien und besondere Dienste

Vor ungefähr 8 Jahren war  ich bei einem  meiner ersten Besuche in Kaliningrad. Es war eine eilig einberufene Konferenz, die als eine Reaktion auf die Entscheidung der Europäischen Union, Polen in ihre Reihen aufzunehmen, fungieren sollte. Die Konferenz versammelte einige Zehnen an Vertretern von Nichtregierungsorganisationen aus ganz Europa. Auch russische Politiker waren anwesend, darunter der für Kaliningrad zuständige Vertreter von Präsident Putin. Ich kann mich erinnern, dass sie von vielen Medien, aber auch von der „Sicherheit“ begleitet wurden. Read the rest of this entry »

Cross-media training course in Tbilisi

Cross-media trainingIn February 2010 we are starting a recruitment process to the training seminar Cross-media youth reporters for democracy in Tbilisi, Georgia. The aim of this training is to improve skills and enable 18 multipliers to initiate public discussions about civil society and democracy issues, document them with the help of creative media tools and actively exchange information on the European level with the help of web-TV. Digital global village in Romania

DGV_RomaniaIt’s going to be a blast. Just to give you some background, as part of the DGV we will be building bridges and connections with youths (16-25) from different backgrounds (with skills in the media) and exchange our views and experiences and content - reports KhaoZ Group from Botosani.
