The training course in Timisoara has started today. Filmmakers and students from Turkey, Poland, United Kingdom, Germany and Romania will attend video journalism and cross-media course. From the 1st till the 8th of July they will learn how to be a web-TV reporter and how to make video reports. What do you associate with Turkey? Polish group recorded street interviews with the citizens in Lublin. All of this was a part of local media workshops and preparations to the international training course in Istanbul, which starts on Friday, May 7. Due to the problems caused by the ash cloud over Europe we have postponed the training course in Timisoara. New dates of the training course are for now 01 - 08.07.2010. The aim of the training course is to encourage and qualify young people to use digital media for raising European awareness and fostering mutual understanding and intercultural dialogue in Europe. Unfortunately we have to cancel the training course in Timisoara (19-26.04.2010) due to the problems caused by the ash cloud over Europe. We have postponed the training course and we will try to organize it in July. Each participant and each partner organization of the training course will be informed about the new dates of the course.

The first international MediaTrainer seminar starts on 11th of April 2010 in Münster. Youth workers and multipliers from 5 countries will get a chance to get skills in 2 fields: video journalism and on-line journalism.  Read the rest of this entry »
